Description
An official, who checks (in some countries also sells) tickets for passengers in public transport (in a train, a bus, or other). They check the validity of the ticket by verifying certain criteria: date, time, means of transport, eligibility for transport fare discounts, and etc. Duties of a ticket collector may vary depending in what country and on what kind of vehicle they work in.
