PHP web developer

We are looking for a frontend web dev with 3+ years of full-time experience who supports our backend guys with making high-quality apps. You'll be working with us at the Mill (Brivibas iela 33) and get acquainted with all systems we're dealing with. In the beginning you'll be making the HTML/CSS/JS parts of web applications (you get the backend's data in your templates and you build the frontend based on proper descriptions and screens).

We need you for about 20h per week, you can pick the days yourself a week in advance. After some time for building trustwe can see about remote work (if it's not a burden to the project).

At the Mill we got nice coffee, table tennis and a great atmosphere in general. Plenty of people to mingle with, if you're a social person, you'll love it here.

You'll be dealing with the usual HTML/CSS/JS stack. We're using jQuery of course, do things AMD-like and use Bootstrap in general. Better be familiar with all these or super eager to learn it.

You need average PHP skills. At the very least enough to understand PHP-based templates, find your way around MVC based applications and find your templates and know about arrays, objects, escaping to build frontend views from 'PHP data' (so to speak).

If you don't have your own gear (or don't want to use it for work) we provide you with a nice piece and the software to go along with it.

Fluent english skills are a must (B2/C1/C2).

What you absolutely need to bring in is being inventive, motivated, eager to improve your professional skills and a sincere drive to produce something good. If we just get the sense you're just passing the time to get the hours, we kick you out. Sounds harsh, but that's how it is. Innovative thinking, frank and outspoken mind and hard work we reward big time.

You get proper briefings and ongoing support for web apps. Sketch, Photoshop, sometimes InDesign screens for mockups. Table tennis playing - we need a champion! :)
