SSE Riga Executive Education offers a wide range of training and development opportunities to local and international clients in the private and public sector.
SSE Riga Executive Education has been an integral part of the school's activities since SSE Riga first opened its doors in 1994. The Executive Education programme follows the traditions of the Stockholm School of Economics, which has been a centre for education of leading business executives since 1909 - traditions that have been built around a strong link between academia and the actual business environment.
The educational portfolio offered by the SSE Riga Executive Education unit ranges from open programmes to tailor made in-house programmes. The client base represents the public as well as the private sector including companies outside the region. The programmes are led by an international and diverse faculty.
In addition to SSE Riga faculty, programmes are led by faculty members from SSE Riga partner institutions, e.g. the Stockholm School of Economics and the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan, as well as by experienced business practitioners.

The mission of the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga is to provide a state-of-the-art education in business and economics that contributes to the economic and social development of the region, in particular Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Today this is done through two degree programmes - the original B.Sc. programme and the SSE Riga Executive MBA programme - as well as through various executive education activities. The mission also includes research, and SSE Riga should produce state-of-the-art research of relevance to the Baltic countries and the school should actively participate and foster public debate in its fields of competence.
The School's mission rests on the same four cornerstones as in 1994, each of them of equal importance:
•Academically strong and highly motivated students.
•International students and faculty.
•Independence from the state university system.
•A strong brand name.
Admitting just 120 top undergraduates a year through a rigid three-step admission process, SSE Riga provides an elite learning environment that has a recognized reputation for teaching, learning and applied research. Being a small school with close to 400 students, it takes just a few months to get to know each other through project work, studying together, assisting each other and socializing. The intensive curriculum and a strong international undergraduate group create a vibrant and intellectually challenging study environment at SSE Riga.
