Description
Gym instructors or Fitness trainers assume many different roles in a fitness centre, that of motivator, supervisor, and trainer. Gym instructor demonstrate techniques and methods of participation and use of gym equipment. They observe participants and inform them of corrective measures necessary to improve their skills and use of equipment.
Tasks:
1. Assess clients' fitness and body types and design gym programmes for clients
2. Explain and demonstrate exercises, weight training
3. Give advice on nutrition and preventing or recovering from injuries
4. Help out at the gym, which can involve cleaning and reception duties.
